Dr. Laurie Clauss has been a lover of cats since her early childhood.  A graduate of Colorado State University’s Veterinary School in 1994, she practiced in Seattle for a few years before moving back to our beautiful state.  Fulfilling a lifelong dream, she opened CatTails Feline Health Center in 2003.  She is currently working toward board certification in feline medicine and continues to advance her knowledge through continuing education focusing on cats.  When not at the hospital, you may find her spending time with her own clowder of cats ranging from 1 to 15 years of age, or her wonderfully patient human family.  She also enjoys vegetarian dining and running outside whenever possible.  Dr. Clauss is extraordinarily gentle and thorough in diagnosing and managing her feline patients' care.  She strives to treat your cat as she would her own and appreciates the bonds that develop between kitties and their people.
